In this video clip I demonstrate how you can create a game using a scarf and an empty jar to encourage encourage your child to use two hands: one to stabilise a the jar and the other to manipulate or pull the scarf.
This is a good activity for children with a hemi hand. You can practice both using the hemi hand to hold-to-stabilize, as well as work on doing a grasp-hold-and pull action.
You will need a couple of different sized jars and one of two thin scarves or pieces of cloth. A dish towel will also work for this activity.
